Petra Jordan Tour from Tel AvivDay 1: Leaving from Ben Gurion Airport early morning, you’ll fly to Eilat Ramon Airport. You will be picked up from Ramon Eilat Airport upon arrival and escorted to the Arava border. Israeli Jordanian border crossing.

After clearing immigration and customs, you will be met by one of our multi-lingual Jordanian representatives who will drive you from the Aqaba border station, through the majestic Jordanian desert landscapes, to your first stop on this unique tour – Petra.

You will spend the day touring Petra one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Petra, also known as the “Red Rose City”, is a remarkable tourist site, and it was originally inhabited by the Nabateans. Rediscovered 200 years ago, it is described by UNESCO as ‘one of the most precious cultural properties of man’s cultural heritage’. During your tour in Petra, you’ll explore the famous landmarks and hidden corners of the site, standing in awe at the impressiveness of man’s construction almost 2000 years ago.

After the guided tour, you will proceed to a one of the local Jordanian restaurants for an authentic Jordanian lunch. After lunch you will be taken to Wadi Rum, where you can sleep in a Bedouin style tent, and enjoy the atmosphere and the quiet of the desert.  There is also an option to sleep in a hotel in Petra, with no extra fee.

Day 2: Breakfast in Wadi Rum Bedouin camp. Commence your journey in Wadi Rum, where you’ll embark on a two-hour private 4X4 JEEP excursion. Explore the traditional lifestyle of the Bedouin people, marvel at the sandstone formations rising from the desert’s embrace, admire ancient paintings adorning the mountainsides, and much more.

Following the tour, you’ll be chauffeured back to the Arava border, and from there, to the Airport for your return flight to Tel Aviv.

You’ll typically have a couple of hours to meander through Eilat, take a refreshing dip in the Red Sea’s crystal waters, indulge in some shopping, or savor a delectable meal.
