Jerusalem Dead Sea Group Tour from Tel Aviv ITINERARY

Spend a full day exploring holiest city in the world, Old City of Jerusalem and visit Dead Sea, all in one day.

Jerusalem Dead Sea Tour from Tel AvivSee Jerusalem’s skyline from the top of Mt. Scopus. From afar, we spot the Old City and Temple Mount, where the golden dome of the Dome of the Rock stands out as a stunning photo opportunity. As we continue on, we pass by the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations, and the Kidron Valley

Continue into the Old City through the Zion Gate to Jerusalem’s Cardo, the main thoroughfare of Byzantine Jerusalem. In the Jewish Quarter, visit the Western Wall, or Wailing Wall, the holiest of Jewish sites. The wall is about 2,000 years old, its cracks filled with the prayer papers from the thousands of people that visit here. Here, you have the opportunity to leave a prayer note between the ancient stones of the Wailing Wall.

Further along in the Christian Quarter, walk along the Via Dolorosa, from the 5th Station of the Cross, the path that Jesus walked to his crucifixion. The Via Dolorosa, meaning “Way of Sorrow” in Latin, is one of the most significant religious sites in Jerusalem.

The path that Jesus Christ walked carrying his cross on the way to his crucifixion. The route winds through the narrow streets of the Old City, passing through various stations of the cross, each marking a significant event in Jesus’ final journey. The stations include the place where Jesus met his mother, where he stumbled and fell, and where Simon of Cyrene helped him carry the cross.

The final stations of the Via Dolorosa lead to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where Jesus was crucified and buried. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, located in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, is one of the most significant religious sites in the world. The location where Jesus Christ was crucified, buried, and resurrected.

The church is built on the site known as Golgotha or Calvary, where Jesus was crucified. Inside the church, there is a large stone believed to be the site of the tomb where Jesus was buried. The church also houses other important religious sites, including the Chapel of St. Helena, where it is believed that the True Cross was found, and the Chapel of Adam, where Adam is believed to have been buried.

At the entrance of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, there is a large stone called the Stone of Anointing or the Stone of Unction. It is the spot where the body of Jesus was prepared for burial by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, according to the New Testament. The stone is anointed with fragrant oil by the faithful who visit the church, and it is also a popular site for pilgrims to pause and reflect on the solemnity of the events that took place at the church.

Second part of the tour, we proceed to Dead Sea. After completing your visit to Jerusalem, the tour continues toward the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth.

The drive takes you through the Judean Desert, offering wide open views of a landscape mentioned throughout the Bible.

Upon arrival at the Dead Sea, you will have free time to float in its calm, mineral-rich waters, known for their natural benefits. You will also have the opportunity to apply the Dead Sea’s natural black mud, known for its skin-nourishing and revitalizing properties.  Perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and enjoy the unique surroundings at your own pace.

The Dead Sea visit provides a peaceful and refreshing conclusion to your day, balancing spiritual discovery with physical relaxation. At the end of the tour, you will be comfortably transferred back to your original pickup point.

Wonderful day with Avi

★★★★★
“ Avi was absolutely wonderful!! We had such a great day with him visiting Masada, Ein Gedi, and the Dead Sea. He was kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, and he made the whole experience feel easy, interesting, and fun. He adapted perfectly to our family and kept our two kids engaged, even in the heat. He always knew where to stop, where to find shade, and how to share the history in a way that was fascinating but never too heavy. His car was also very comfortable, which made the long drive to and from Tel Aviv so much easier. It was a long, hot day, but it went by so fast because we were having such a good time. We would absolutely book Avi again and are already looking forward to more adventures with him!”

“ I had an amazing experience at the Dead Sea and Masada tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Enrique. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much fascinating history throughout the entire trip you could tell he genuinely loves what he does and knows the subject inside and out. Enrique was extremely kind, welcoming, and friendly from start to finish. He made everyone feel comfortable and taken care of, and his hospitality really stood out. The whole experience felt organized, fun, and personal because of him. If you’re thinking about doing a Dead Sea and Masada tour, I highly recommend it and if you get Enrique as your guide, you’re in great hands.”
